Yajurveda

The Yajurveda is one of the four Vedas, the holy books of Hinduism. It consists of a collection of Vedic age Hindu rituals. This includes the details of numerous elaborate sacrificial rites for purification purposes.

Additional Information

There are two primary schools of Yajurveda: shukla and krishna

Shukla yajurveda (vaajasaaniiya) consists of 40 chapters in metrical form.

Krishna yajurveda (taittiriiya) has some portions which are in metrical form and some protion in prose forms and some portions contains a mixure of both.
