USS Langley (CV-1)

The USS Langley (CV-1) was the United States Navy's first aircraft carrier. She was commissioned on March 20, 1922 and was sunk by Japanese warplanes on February 27, 1942 during World War II.

The ship was originally named USS Jupiter (AC-3) before she was converted into an aircraft carrier in mid-1919.
