Two Thousand Guineas Stakes

The Two Thousand Guineas Stakes is a 1 mile (1600 meters) thoroughbred horse race for 3-year-olds run in May of each year over the Rowley Mile at Newmarket, Suffolk, England.

First held in 1809, it is the first leg of the English Triple Crown followed by the Epsom Derby and the St. Leger Stakes.
