Tohoku region

Tohoku region, Japan

The Tohoku region (東北地方; Tohoku-chiho) is a geographical area of Honshu, the largest island in Japan.

The region consists of six prefectures: Akita, Aomori, Fukushima, Iwate, Miyagi and Yamagata.
