Suddenly, Last Summer

Suddenly, Last Summer is a 1959 film which tells the story of a youn woman who seems to go insane after her cousin dies in Europe under mysterious circumstances. It stars Elizabeth Taylor, Katharine Hepburn, Montgomery Clift, Albert Dekker[?] and Mercedes McCambridge[?].

The movie was adapted by Gore Vidal and Tennessee Williams from the play by Williams. It was directed by Joseph L. Mankiewicz[?].

It was nominated for Academy Awards for Best Actress in a Leading Role (Katharine Hepburn), Best Actress in a Leading Role (Elizabeth Taylor) and Best Art Direction-Set Decoration, Black-and-White.

Suddenly, Last Summer was remade for television in 1993. It was directed by Richard Eyre[?] and starred Maggie Smith, Rob Lowe, Richard E. Grant[?] and Natasha Richardson[?]. This version was adapted from the script of the original play.
