O is the fifteenth letter of the Latin alphabet.
In Greek (Omikron), Etruscan and Latin O stood for the vowel /o/. Although Semitic 'Ajin was used in some alphabets to transcribe [o], the sound value was usually consonantic: [?/] (as the Arabic letter 'Ajn).
