Lufthansa

Lufthansa is the name of the German national airline company, headquartered in Cologne. Their main base is Frankfurt. Lufthansa is a founding member of Star Alliance, the world's leading airline alliance. Currently, the Lufthansa Group operates more than 300 aircraft.

The company was founded in 1926, following a merger between "Deutsche Aero Lloyd" (DAL) and "Junkers Luftverkehr" on January 6 of that year. Its original name was Deutsche Luft Hansa Aktiengesellschaft.
