Law of the United Kingdom

The law of the United Kingdom is comprised of legal systems which use both the common law and civil law: England, Wales and Northern Ireland use the common law system, while Scotland uses a hybrid system which combines elements from the common law and the civil law system, as well the ecclesiastical courts and the admiralty courts follow the civil law.
