Greek architecture has three styles or periods, each with its distinguishing characteristics. These are: Doric, Ionic and Corinthian. These styles were also adopted and adapted by the Romans.
In modern times, many architects have been influenced by ancient Greece, as can be seen in buildings such as the Église de la Madeleine in Paris.
