Gnumeric

Gnumeric is a free spreadsheet program that is part of the GNOME desktop. It is intended to be a free replacement for proprietary spreadsheet programs, such as Microsoft Excel, which it broadly and openly emulates.

Gnumeric has the ability to import and export data in several spreadsheet formats, including Excel, XML, HTML, Applix[?], Quattro-Pro[?], PlanPerfect[?], Sylk, DIF, Oleo[?], SC, StarOffice, and Lotus 1-2-3. Its native format is XML, compressed with gzip.

Gnumeric is released under the terms of the GNU General Public License. Version 1.0, the first stable release, was made available in January 2002.
