Delhi

Delhi is a state and city in India, the state occupying an area of some 1483 square kilometres (572 square miles) with a population of approximately 14 million. The principal spoken languages are Hindi and Urdu.

The two largest cities of Delhi are the city of Delhi and India's capital, New Delhi.

On March 20, 1739 Nadir Shah occupied Delhi and proceeded to sack and plunder the city. He also stole the famous jewels of the Peacock Throne[?].
