Boleslaw Bierut

Boleslaw Bierut, born in 1892 near Lublin, Communist Workers Party of Poland[?], went in 1925 to Moscow to be trained at the School of the Communist International[?]. From 1944-1947 he functioned as Head of State until this office was changed to President of the Republic of Poland[?]. He held that position until 1952. Boleslaw Bierut was instrumental in the Soviet take-over of Poland by the Communists. Under the Bierut Decree of March 8, 1946 German lands and properties were confiscated.
