Bible and Tanach

The lists of books of the Christian Old Testament and Jewish Tanach compared. The Protestant (i.e non-R.C or E.O) Old Testament and the Tanach contain the same books, although in a different order. The Catholic Old Testament contains the "apocryphal" books as well, and these are at the bottom, although not in the order presented in the Catholic (Douay Bible[?]). The Eastern Orthodox sect of Christianity has three additional books to the Catholic Bible.

The two center columns hold the book numbers for each, respectively. The order for each column is preserved. To denote the different order of books; Asterisked, bold numbers represent the book number for that column that corresponds with the book name in the other Book.
